Time for more Bible quotes to help you be a better Christian! John 15:6: "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." Genesis 38:8-10: Then Judah said to Onan, "Go in to your brother's wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother." Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also. Ezekiel 4:15: Then He said to me, "See, I will give you cow's dung in place of human dung over which you will prepare your bread." Isaiah 36:12: "Has my master sent me only to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, doomed to eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?" Jeremiah 16:4: "They will die of deadly diseases, they will not be lamented or buried; they will be as dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth." Luke 14:26: "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Romans 13:1: Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

The WTC is an incident that nearly everyone in America who is over 8 years old remembers watching live, or on the news shortly after. It is one event that has been jammed down our throats by the media and government ever since. Now some assholes decided that it would be a good idea to profit off of the tragedy and simultaneously shove it in our faces again. Is this even legal? It really shouldn't be. I'm sure by now most people have seen a trailer or two for the World Trade Center Movie. If memory serves me, there have already been 2 movies about the "flight that fought back" and now they think we need to re-live something that happened only 5 years ago? I'm not against historical movies or even the idea of this movie. I'm just irritated that they didn't wait until there was at least one or two people who don't remember it like it was yesterday. They haven't even done anything with the crater yet for fuck's sake. The government has been (and still is) using the 9/11 tragedy to push forward their agendas, rob us of our freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism, and start a conflict in the middle east based off of false assumptions and lies. The media has used 9/11 as a tool for increasing ratings by keeping us in fear of repeat terrorist attacks. Now the movie industry wants a piece of the "fear of terror" pie. And why would we not buy into it? It would be unpatriotic not to, right? That is exactly the kind of bullshit they are preying on. I'm sure these bastards are starting to film a movie based on the Israel/Hezbollah conflict for next summer already. It will be a gripping tale of two bullheaded overly religious groups fighting over a worthless piece of land, and it will be spun into an epic tale from the viewpoint of our righteous allies who are no more right than their enemies. This way we don't have to remember, we can pay $20 to watch what happened last year in semi-fictional movie form. I strongly urge everyone to avoid the WTC movie, if for no other reason than they are profiting off of tragedy. People die, and they win by making millions selling a story that isn't their own. You are not unpatriotic if you don't see this movie! You were there, you do not need to remember it anymore than you already do. If you need another reason not to see it, Nicholas Cage is in it. That should be more than enough to keep anyone away. |

Ahh 6/6/6, why did you not bring the rapture like they said you would?! Actually I'm relieved that nothing big did happen, I imagine there were a few crazies out there that were so convinced something cataclysmic would happen that they did some stupid pre-apocalyptic only a couple days to live thing. What a letdown for them. I woke to the sound of the doorbell. Thinking UPS had come bearing packages, I quickly ran for the door. One must be as fast as possible to catch the UPS delivery person as they give up very quickly these days if they try at all. So I ran and opened the door as fast as I could. Instead of the man or woman in brown, I'm greeted by two teenage boys in the traditional door to door Mormon garb. Somehow the first thing that went through my head was how I looked like I had just rolled out of bed and thrown on a pair of shorts, which made sense, as that is what happened. Even though they needed no introduction, I let them tell me how they were from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and how they wanted to share the book of Mormon with me, etc. I wasn't really in the mood to do anything too witty, so I simply told them I was Atheist and uninterested. That got a bit of a startled look in their eyes, but they said ok, and gave me some card with a Mormon website address on it. Oh how tempting it was to tell them that I ran this website and give them my own little card with an address on it. :-) Instead I told them to have a nice day and said goodbye. I know many of you (at least I know my friends) are thinking that I would lash out at people like this and spout out phrases like "soul soliciting pig-fuckers." But in reality I've learned that I'm not quite as evil as some think I am. Did that phrase cross my mind? Sure. Did I want to re-enact a scene or two from Orgazmo? Of course. But the reality of the situation is that these were just a couple 17-20 year old boys doing what they were told was right. I wasn't going to show too much ill will at a couple of kids who thought they were trying to save my soul. It's the thought that counts right? If they hadn't been only around 18-20 years old, I might have been a little more angry. |

If you thought the U.S. Government goes too far criminalizing its citizens now, just wait until this bomb drops. I highly recommend reading that article as it could effect every person in the United State's lives if this bill gets enacted. I'll try to break down the important parts to you here. The Intellectual Property Protection Act of 2006 will criminalize copyright infringement in a way that will make the sentence for selling pot to school children look like a slap on the wrist. (And need I remind you that selling pot gets you a longer jail sentence than many different types of violent crimes including involuntary manslaughter.) The act will create a special FBI unit dedicated to investigating copyright infringement crimes. They will be able to wiretap your phones, monitor your computer use, and based on this information, will be able to throw you in jail and seize anything they deem as having been used in the infringement. You might be thinking at this point "No big deal, I don't download music." We're not just talking about music here. This will cover EVERY kind of copyright infringement. If you copy part of an article without proper permission, share a copyrighted picture on the internet (e-mail forwards anyone?), download most kinds of digital media, burn a CD for a friend, copy a song from a CD you purchased to your iPod, or any number of other things these jackasses come up with that you do that they think hurts their bottom line. Here is the real kicker... you don't even have to have successfully copied anything. Just attempting to copy or share something will qualify you for up to 10 years in jail! Another part of this law would criminalize owning or selling any devices or software that can be used to circumvent copy protection. Still don't think this concerns you? Do you own a TiVo, VCR, tape recorder, computer, ink and paper, camera, scanner, copy machine, typewriter, CD/DVD burner, mini-disk recorder, one of millions of different software titles, or any other device that has the capability to copy media or convert it from one form to another? Well soon you will be a criminal for it thanks to this bill (if passed). Since the current government likes to use scare tactics to get us to agree to things, there has already been a correlation between copyright infringement and terrorism. Quoted from the news.com article:
That's right kids, you're downloading terrorism! What kind of idiots do they think we are?! I thought the whole copyright issue was getting out of hand without any legal changes. The RIAA has been suing people that don't even have computers, dead people, children, and college students already. To my knowledge there hasn't been anyone actually through the court system with this either. They have just been scaring the crap out of people and getting them to settle out of court beforehand. Why not just show up at people's houses with a few large guys and a baseball bat and start breaking knees already? Now I've never been one of those huge anti-corporate hippy types that gets angry at Starbucks for trying to make money, but this is the most infuriating thing I have ever heard of. How much money in bribes did it take for various organizations like the MPAA and RIAA to get a congressman to even look at this garbage? There is no way you can convince me that they are thinking about protecting the people of their country while taking this bill into consideration. This law will make criminals out of most people in this country. How are they going to find enough jail cells for all of us? In all seriousness this is the kind of thing that is worth a 10,000,000 person march on Washington. This is the kind of thing that is more riot-worthy than any sporting event or religious outrage. They are trying to take away EVERY FREEDOM WE HAVE! I'm going to do a little research on who to write to, e-mail, fax, and call repeatedly about this and post it here later because this is definitely worth some action. |

"In antiquity those that excelled in warfare first made themselves unconquerable in order to await the moment the enemy could be conquered." So I go out to eat with my father, and he gives me an investment tip during dinner. His advice was to invest in Uranium Mines in Australia, since the Chinese Government just bought out the mines from control of Europeon and North American Control. They are currently building as many as 50 nuclear power plants for the Super Country, and having nothing but nuclear energy, like their sometimes ally, sometimes enemy Japan. Japan is filled with Nuclear power plants, and I often wondered why, and then my military mind comes to a probable and possible reason for the increased interest in nuclear power. Many countries saw amazing footage of the previous and current Persian Gulf distraction, and along with the movie, Jarhead the world was told this message, American Ground Troops are extremely limited in experience. The placement of Nuclear Power Facilities would limit air strikes to a certain area, forcing any western forces into a ground war, for which their soldiers are far more experienced, not to mention, know the terrain. Students of History know that it is very foolish to wage a land war against Asia. Napoleon figured that one out the hard way. The Korean and Vietnam wars (along with the War of 1812) are taught to us as wars that came to a stand-still, with no clear victor. That is a lie. Our casualties in those three wars clearly out number the enemy, and for the most part our distance and retreat or pull out of the area is pretty ridiculous. On top of all of this, Bush, being the master strategist and millitary genius that he is, has a goal of spreading our millitary so thin to the point of ineffectiveness. In our own damn millitary history, we have shown what happens when a millitary is divided, and it already philosophically is, asking for the retirement of defense secretary Rumsfeld. Then, you hear stories of our American hero soldiers being forced to lay down the oil pipe with the name Haliburton on it. Certainly, Haliburton is the only corporation that could do the reconstruction of Iraq, however, I'm not entirely sure why we're there. Saddam Hussein is an asshole. A royal asshole at that. Some one who committed genocide and put fear into the hearts of the people of his country. However, he kept them in check, and now we have a civil war on our hands, and who's responsible? The American People. On top of that, we are facing unemployment, economic recession, and of course, civil unrest. Our civil liberties, our "FREEDOMS" our invaded, all of our private information can be used against us, and on top of that, no one seems to care all that much.

Thinking back to my elementary school days, I remember how cruel children are to each other. Constant name calling and bickering which sometimes resulted in mild hazing, were commonplace. The instigators were usually referred to as "bullies."? These bullies had two basic kinds of assault, verbal, and physical. How were the victimized children taught to respond you ask? Physical assaults were commonly dealt with by the adults in one form or another. The verbal assaults were usually shrugged off and the children were told "Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you."? I remember this was usually the generic comeback to any insult, and was so widely used that it was extremely annoying. There is however a message within that tired old saying that we have either forgotten, or failed to perpetuate to the rest of the world's population. That message is simple, ideas cannot hurt you. The vehicle of these ideas whether they be verbal, written, picture, or video are intangible and cannot hurt you unless you let them. Now let me pose the question to the world. What the fuck happened? Instead of telling children to toughen up, parents will now sue the instigating party. There are cases of parents suing schools over 7 year old kids "sexually harassing"? each other. Something is definitely wrong here. If we keep treating kids like this they are going to be a hundred times worse than the current generation of parents with their kids. While on the subject of parents over-sheltering their kids this article is a prime example of how overly sensitive douchebags are going to censor and/or sue the rest of us to death if given the chance. Muslims are another (more extreme) example of how out of touch people are with the concept of hurt feelings vs. ACTUALLY being hurt. All it takes to get them riled up to a riot-frenzy these days is a poorly sketched drawing of Mohamed. If this image hurt them, Allah save us all if they ever find goatse pictures (look it up on your own time, but take my word that its probably the grossest thing you can possibly see aside from mutilated corpses). (Note: Don't think I'm just ripping on Muslims here, Catholics get their undergarments ruffled whenever someone badmouths their precious Mary, and Christians in general get upset over almost everything.) Pictures of naked people, depictions of sexual acts, rude language, simulated violence, or any groupings of words or pictures for that matter can do you no harm. If you choose not to be exposed to these things, good for you. Turn on your V-chip, home school your children, use the parental controls available for ANYTHING electronic these days, live in a sensory deprivation chamber for all I care, and leave those of us who choose to be exposed to whatever we want alone. Basically what I'm getting at is that ideas don't cause pain, you cause yourself pain by being offended. You also choose what you are and are not offended by, and last time I checked you can choose what you expose yourself to for the most part. You can live in your censored, filtered, watered down, padded world, and we can still have our controversial, spicy world to indulge our need for the unfiltered flow of ideas. |

This website is intended to be a community-driven effort. We get a substantial amount of readers, but little to no interaction from them. Due to this, the majority of the content comes from 2-4 individuals. This is not what we intend, and don't want this to be a podium from which only a couple people speak. We want to hear from YOU! Not only on the forums or by submitting links to LinkSin, but we want you to send in rants of your own to be displayed right here on the front page to the whole world. If there are any features or changes you would like to see, please leave a comment, post in the feedback forum, or just use the contact form if you don't feel like registering. On a side note we are also looking for another artist for the comic section and/or whatever other art work we may need done. So if you are good with photoshop and want to help out, use the contact form to get in touch with us. Get involved and be heard!

This weekend I was dragged to the bars that circle my university like vultures do with a fresh carcass. I sat at a table with a few new friends who made idle chatter, nursing my Ameretto Stone Sour (I'm quite the lush you see), as I watched the rest of the constituents of humanity file in to indulge in what is called "Happy Hour". I watched as a myriad of individuals filed in, each receiving a stamp for their cover charge. Stamp Stamp Stamp Each and every single one of them ultimately looking for something, myself included. "What is it each of us here is looking for?" I asked myself, as I took another sip from my glass. Gray cigarette smoke filtering past my vision toward the ceiling from, what I imagine, was a dozen or so cigarettes lit in symphony. And then it hit me as quickly and efficiently as any other blunt object would. Escape. We were, we are, all looking for an escape. Weither it is through self-destruction, commitment to a cause/ideal, or simply drowning sorrows/confusion/complex thoughts with a few simple swigs of flavored poison. |

Recently I read someone's review of the site that said, "This site rips on Christianity too much. As much as I dislike people who interpret the bible literally, nobody needs to fault them for it as long as they keep it to themselves." I don't want anyone to think that this site is COMPLETELY aimed at poking fun of Christianity, however within the same quote saying that we rip on Christianity too much, I find the reason that we do. Christians do not keep their religion to themselves. They are constantly in your face and they attempt to control everything. In the USA they control our government, broadcast on TV and radio, and influence every person's habits/lifestyles regardless of their individual religion or belief system. What do I mean by influencing everyone's habits/lifestyles? Christians have a moral code that supersedes everyone else's in this country. Since they control the government many aspects are enacted into laws. The ones that will really get you though are the ones that aren't laws. They make you think/act (or outwardly pretend) in certain ways. For example, any non-christians are looked down upon by Christians. This prevents children (born into a Christian family mainly, but this can apply to others) from wanting to be anything but Christian because they will face ridicule and be seen as an outcasts by the world around them. Another example would be having an alternative sexual preference, such as homosexuality or polyamory. Being heterosexual with one partner is fine, but anything else is frowned upon. Thus we have homosexuals scared out of their minds "in the closet," and polygamy will get you thrown in jail. I could probably write a book on how Christianity fucks with our lives, but I'm sure given these examples you can think of a few other ones on your own. The bottom line is that until Christianity either completely changes or dies, it's going to piss me off and I will continue to oppose it outwardly. Christianity perpetuates ignorance, intolerance, and hate. They should not be allowed so much control. I know there has been a theme of anti-christianity in my rants, but I want to assure you that I'll eventually get around to poking fun at, and pointing out absurdities in many many other religions. This site is still pretty young, so give us a bit of time, we'll get around to offending a lot more than just Christians. :-) |
