WTC Movie? WTF?!

The WTC is an incident that nearly everyone in America who is over 8 years old remembers watching live, or on the news shortly after. It is one event that has been jammed down our throats by the media and government ever since. Now some assholes decided that it would be a good idea to profit off of the tragedy and simultaneously shove it in our faces again. Is this even legal? It really shouldn't be.

I'm sure by now most people have seen a trailer or two for the World Trade Center Movie. If memory serves me, there have already been 2 movies about the "flight that fought back" and now they think we need to re-live something that happened only 5 years ago?

I'm not against historical movies or even the idea of this movie. I'm just irritated that they didn't wait until there was at least one or two people who don't remember it like it was yesterday. They haven't even done anything with the crater yet for fuck's sake.

The government has been (and still is) using the 9/11 tragedy to push forward their agendas, rob us of our freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism, and start a conflict in the middle east based off of false assumptions and lies. The media has used 9/11 as a tool for increasing ratings by keeping us in fear of repeat terrorist attacks. Now the movie industry wants a piece of the "fear of terror" pie. And why would we not buy into it? It would be unpatriotic not to, right? That is exactly the kind of bullshit they are preying on.

I'm sure these bastards are starting to film a movie based on the Israel/Hezbollah conflict for next summer already. It will be a gripping tale of two bullheaded overly religious groups fighting over a worthless piece of land, and it will be spun into an epic tale from the viewpoint of our righteous allies who are no more right than their enemies. This way we don't have to remember, we can pay $20 to watch what happened last year in semi-fictional movie form.

I strongly urge everyone to avoid the WTC movie, if for no other reason than they are profiting off of tragedy. People die, and they win by making millions selling a story that isn't their own. You are not unpatriotic if you don't see this movie! You were there, you do not need to remember it anymore than you already do. If you need another reason not to see it, Nicholas Cage is in it. That should be more than enough to keep anyone away.

Agreed! This movie is about

Agreed! This movie is about ten years ahead of itself if not more. Next summer it will be "Katrina: Winds of Fury".
